Knotted Fire Poi

These poi are made from the very best quality parts available, and every part of the design has been very carefully thought out.  

Handles: Made from Real Suede, these turquoise handles are incredibly strong and very, very soft. 2cm wide, 8cm total length, split ring is 20mm diameter. These handles will last for a very long time; they are not sewn together but have metal eyelets which won't fall apart.  

Chains: Chrome plated steel each link is welded shut, making them incredibly strong. Unlike aluminium these will not fall apart at high temperatures. Super strong swivel clips at both ends allows free movement of poi. ;-) we all know how much twisting is involved in the more difficult moves, and these make sure the chain doesn’t get tangled. 

Poi Heads:

Made of real KEVLAR® 10mm diameter rope.

  • High temperature resistance 650 deg.

  • Strong diagonal weave

  • Excellent edge wear resistance

All twisted up into a really funky knot. I tied these and pulled it really tight at every stage, so they won’t come undone. The size of the knot is as follows…10cm length, and thanks to my bendy ruler 14cm circumference (about 4cm width), and each head weighs 65g, which is a perfect weight because they get a bit heavier when you soak them in fuel. Unlike many other poi for sale these do not have a metal tube running through the middle and no sharp metal edges or aluminium anywhere! The burn time is approximately 10 minutes.

 

The total poi length including handle is about 66cm. If you like poi longer or shorter than this then please email me and I will change them for you at no extra cost.

 

I recommend that when you have bought this fantastic pair of poi you follow the following advice:

  • Only try moves with fire that you are confident doing with unlit poi or practice poi.

  • Try these out unlit first, that way if they are not quite what you wanted you’ll be able to return them for a refund.

  • The wicks will last longer if you dunk them in fuel to put them out, rather than leaving them smoldering.

  • Always use in a wide open space.

  • Only use paraffin (kerosene) as a fuel, never petrol or lighter fluid (both very explosive)

These have been tried and rigorously tested, you won't find any stronger (or nicer) Poi anywhere!
